Careers

Small team, real hardware.

Struxa builds a new generation of everyday support. We design and manufacture in Lakewood, Colorado. We are part of Atlas Product Group. Finger splints are the first products, not the last.

Struxa is small, so the work is wide. You will own problems end to end rather than a slice of someone else's, and you will be in the room when the call gets made. Our splints are made at our own facility in Lakewood, Colorado, and prototyping happens in house, so the distance between an idea and a part you can hold is short. If you want your decisions to show up in something physical, this is a good place to be.

Why Struxa

Why work here.

  • Made in house

Our splints are made at our own facility in Lakewood, Colorado. Prototyping happens in house, so an idea gets built and tested rather than queued.

  • Real ownership

The team is small, so the scope is wide. You will own problems end to end rather than a slice of someone else's, and you will be in the room when the call gets made.

  • The work has a point

Struxa exists to make people's lives better and more comfortable through the most advanced design and manufacturing techniques available. The Struxa Foundation, led by Dr. Quinn Simpson, carries that further by bringing splints and medical care to underserved, low-resource communities.

  • More ahead than fingers

Struxa Labs is extending the Struxaform lattice platform toward more orthopedic devices, and StruxaOS is in development. The roadmap is longer than the team, which is why this page exists.

Struxa is based in Lakewood, Colorado.

  • Software Engineer, StruxaOS

    Lakewood, Colorado.

StruxaOS is software in development. The intent is to let hospitals design and produce patient-specific orthopedic supports on site, informed by data. You would be an early engineer on that platform, working across the core application, the data model, and the workflow that carries a clinician's inputs through to a manufacturable part. Very little of this is solved yet, so you would be helping decide what the product is while you build it.

    What you will do

    • Build and maintain the core services and interfaces of the StruxaOS platform.
    • Turn clinical and manufacturing workflows into software a non-engineer can run without a manual.
    • Work on parametric geometry and part generation, from input parameters through to a manufacturable output.
    • Design the data model for device configurations, revisions, and production records.
    • Pressure test assumptions with the founders before writing the code.
    • Set the early standards for testing, review, and release on a young codebase.

    What we are looking for

    • Experience shipping production software, ideally some of it on a small team.
    • Strong fundamentals in at least one of: backend services, web applications, or computational geometry.
    • Comfort with ambiguity, and a willingness to write the first version of something.
    • Interest in safety-conscious domains and the discipline they demand.
    • Clear written communication. A lot gets decided in writing here.
    • Useful extras: CAD or mesh processing, additive manufacturing toolchains, or health data systems.
    Compensation range
    $115,000 - $155,000 per year
    Bonus or other pay
Equity may be available for this role.
    Benefits
Health, dental, and vision insurance; paid time off and paid holidays; a retirement savings plan; and paid parental leave.

  • Mechanical Engineer, Splint Development

    Lakewood, Colorado.

You would own splint designs from first concept through production, and you would be accountable for both halves of that: the design and the making of it. Our parts are additively manufactured with an engineered open lattice, so geometry and process cannot be separated. Expect to iterate fast, wear your own prototypes, and be honest about what a part actually does on a real hand. The patent-pending Struxaform structure is the platform you would be building on.

    What you will do

    • Design and iterate splint geometry in CAD, from concept through release.
    • Develop and tune lattice structures for stiffness, weight, breathability, and comfort.
    • Own the manufacturing side: process parameters, fixturing, post-processing, and yield.
    • Build and wear test prototypes, then take the results seriously when they disagree with you.
    • Write and maintain drawings, specifications, and inspection criteria for production.
    • Work directly with our physician founder on fit and real-world use.

    What we are looking for

    • Mechanical engineering fundamentals, whether from formal training or hands-on experience.
    • Both design experience and manufacturing experience. Both are required, not one or the other.
    • Fluency in a parametric CAD package, and comfort with lattice or generative geometry tools.
    • Working knowledge of additive manufacturing: materials, tolerances, and failure modes.
    • Experience with body-worn products, or with regulated hardware, is a plus.
    • Willingness to be on the floor. This is not a screen-only job.
    Compensation range
    $90,000 - $125,000 per year
    Bonus or other pay
Equity may be available for this role.
    Benefits
Health, dental, and vision insurance; paid time off and paid holidays; a retirement savings plan; and paid parental leave.

  • Administrative Assistant

    Lakewood, Colorado.

This role keeps the day running. You would support the founders and the team across scheduling, purchasing, records, correspondence, and the hundred small things a growing company generates. It is a wide role at a small company, so the work shifts week to week. If you are the sort of person who notices the thing nobody assigned, you will do well here.

    What you will do

    • Manage calendars, meetings, travel, and correspondence for the founders and the team.
    • Handle purchasing, vendor accounts, and shipping and receiving paperwork.
    • Keep files, records, and internal documentation organized and current.
    • Support hiring logistics, onboarding, and general office operations.
    • Field incoming email and phone inquiries and route them to the right person.
    • Help prepare materials for meetings, customers, and Struxa Foundation trips.

    What we are looking for

    • Experience in an administrative, operations, or executive support role.
    • Strong written communication and a careful eye for detail.
    • Comfort with common office and productivity software, and with learning new tools quickly.
    • Discretion with confidential information.
    • The judgment to prioritize on your own when several things are urgent at once.
    • A habit of following through without being reminded.
    Compensation range
    $48,000 - $62,000 per year
    Bonus or other pay
No bonus or commission for this role.
    Benefits
Health, dental, and vision insurance; paid time off and paid holidays; a retirement savings plan; and paid parental leave.

  • Manufacturing Facility Associate

    Lakewood, Colorado.

You would make Struxa splints. Our Lakewood facility runs the additive manufacturing equipment that produces them, and this role owns the daily rhythm of that: setup, running, post-processing, inspection, assembly, and packing. Quality is built in rather than inspected in, so the standard is high and the feedback loop is short. Additive manufacturing experience is not required if you bring steady hands and real attention to detail.

    What you will do

    • Set up, run, and monitor additive manufacturing equipment through production shifts.
    • Post-process parts: removal, cleaning, finishing, and assembly.
    • Inspect parts against specification and pull anything that does not meet it.
    • Assemble, pack, and stage finished product for fulfillment.
    • Maintain machines, track consumables, and keep the floor clean and orderly.
    • Log production data and flag recurring defects so designs can be corrected.

    What we are looking for

    • Careful, consistent hands and genuine attention to detail.
    • Experience in manufacturing, machining, assembly, lab work, or a skilled trade is a plus.
    • Comfort with repeatable process work and with following written procedures exactly.
    • Ability to stand for extended periods and handle light lifting.
    • Reliability. Production runs on the schedule being kept.
    • Interest in learning additive manufacturing properly. We will teach the rest.
    Compensation range
    $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
    Bonus or other pay
No bonus or commission for this role.
    Benefits
Health, dental, and vision insurance; paid time off and paid holidays; a retirement savings plan; and paid parental leave.

  • Bookkeeper

    Lakewood, Colorado.

You would keep Struxa's books accurate and current. That covers daily transactions, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, payroll support, and a clean monthly close. We are a small company inside Atlas Product Group, so the volume is manageable and the accuracy matters more than the speed.

    What you will do

    • Record and categorize daily transactions and keep the general ledger clean.
    • Reconcile bank, credit card, and payment processor accounts every month.
    • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor and customer follow up.
    • Support payroll processing and maintain the records behind it.
    • Produce monthly close packets and straightforward financial reports for the founders.
    • Keep records organized and ready for year end and tax preparation.

    What we are looking for

    • Demonstrated bookkeeping experience, ideally with a small business or a manufacturer.
    • Fluency in standard bookkeeping software and spreadsheets.
    • Working understanding of accrual basis accounting, inventory, and cost of goods sold.
    • Accuracy, and the habit of reconciling rather than assuming.
    • Discretion with confidential financial information.
    • Comfort working independently with light supervision.
    Compensation range
    $32.00 - $45.00 per hour
    Bonus or other pay
No bonus or commission for this role.
    Benefits
Health, dental, and vision insurance; paid time off and paid holidays; a retirement savings plan; and paid parental leave.
